Today's my 23rd Birthday!!

Another year has gone by and I'm now 23 years old. It feels kinda strange, considering I'm now the same age Eric was when we first started dating X3; Lordy...

I don't know why, but I always can't help but chuckle to myself every time the thought reoccurs to me that I'm turning 23 and it seems here lately that I see the number 23 every where I go, but I suppose this is also due to the fact I watched The Number 23 recently. I loooove Jim Carrey and I thought The Number 23 was pretty awesome and trippy.

The movie's plot aside, it really is amazing that a lot of things in the world can sum up to 23. I know this is only psychology at play and that if you look for something within things around you, your mind will find it. However, considering my 23rd birthday is today and The Number 23 is one of my favorite movies, I decided to do this sketch to remember it by. It's more or less for silly reasons and I promise I'm not obsessed with the number....

I decided that after my 25th birthday, I'm going to adopt my sister's aging-system and just start putting a star after my age. Hers is 25 (three stars) and the funny thing is that she's told me she's almost forgotten how old she really is from using that system quite religiously :P

Here's some more random facts about the number 23:

1.) The first morse code transmission - "What hath God wrought?" - was from the Bible passage Numbers 23:23. In telegraphers code 23 means "break the line".

2.) The tilt of Earth’s axis is roughly 23 degrees.

3.) Humans have 23 vertebra running down the main part of their spines.

4.) The most frequent numbers in the Book of Revelations are 4 (the powerful beasts), 7(seven seals, seven churches, etc.), and 12 (12 apostles, etc.). 4+7+12=23

5.) In the movie Jeepers Creepers the creature gets to feed every 23 years for 23 days.

6.) (My personal favorite odd-ball fact) In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, within the first dungeon, a deku scrub states "The order is...2 3 1. Twenty-three is number one!" as a hint to defeating his brethren deeper in the dungeon.

I'm also willing to bet that if any of you read the stuff in the sketch itself, that you looked down at your keyboard :P
